a beautiful mess

There's something lovely about the NEW, and the now, and living life to the fullest. Here's a handful of truth: Jesus is good, at all times. In the unstable places, He's the rock. In the unsurity, He's most definitely sure. In lack, He's more than enough. In joy, He brings the overflow.

The lyrics from the "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" song never cease to be sung in my head...

"You call me out upon the waters.
The great unknown, where feet may fail." 

He calls us into the unknowns, where in and of our own strength we may fail. I'm positive that I qualify under this category. If I was to go on alone, my feet would fail me. If I was to take Him out of the equation in my current state, I would be failing. It's nice to remember that He expects us to fail when He calls us upon the waters. It's in that place that we finally rely on Him. Today I admit it. I'm failing, and it's beautiful. My trust is actually in Him and not myself. It's a beautiful mess.

In the midst of my-own-feet-failing-me journey, I have taken a roadtrip to Seattle in celebration of Molls. She's 22 years old now, and is as lovely as ever. Don't know what I'd do without her in life. Here are some lovely captures from the weekend!
